Board Meeting – Security Discussion with Police, Capital Improvements, and more - Tuesday, May 16th, 2017 @ 7:30 pm

The Friends of Titus Sparrow Park Board Meeting will be on Monday evening and is open to all. For this meeting, we have 3 special agenda items:

  • 1.      The new Police Captain of Area D, Wayne Lanchester, and the new Community Service Officer, James Freedman, will be attending the May 15 meeting of the Friends of Titus Sparrow Park.

We will discuss how to best work with them to best deal problems that arise from the basketball court, parking on the street, drugs, homeless, and other general problems.  We will also tell them of our concerts so they are aware of them. It is helpful to get to know the local law enforcement and they are new to their positions. The more neighbors at the meeting, the more likely we are to be high on their list.

  • 2.      The Little Lovage Club wants to add art to the park and they are coming with their ideas. This is our chance to voice our opinions.
  • 3.      Boston City Budgeted $1,980,000 for improvements to Titus Sparrow Park in the next few years! We will start planning on how to best work with the city to best utilize these funds.

The meeting is at 7:30 pm on Monday May 15, 2017 at The Union United Methodist Church, which is the church adjacent to Titus Sparrow Park. Enter through the Columbus Avenue entrance closest to West Newton Street. The meeting is open to all. Please come and bring your friends and neighbors.
